We’re super psyched here at Lone Scientists to introduce our latest edition of artist of the week, Bon Iver. The most notable of Justin Vernon’s musical endeavors, Bon Iver was formed in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and recorded their first record “For Emma…Forever Ago” in a remote northwoods cabin back in 2007. On this self titled release (their second album to date) Bon Iver seamlessly blends the acoustic/folk styling heard on “For Emma” with some newer and more diverse sounds. In the past few months, Vernon has lent his distinct voice to artists ranging from Kanye West (Monster, Lost in the World) and Gayngs; perhaps serving as influences on this new record. Make sure to check the blog frequently this week to hear some great music courtesy of our artists of the week!

Take a listen to this super sweet track, “Woods,” from Iver’s second album, “Blood Bank.” The layers of auto-tune sound awesome in this song.
