This week’s artist of the week should be very familiar to everyone out there. The Black Keys had a monster year in 2010. Their fifth studio album “Brothers” was consistently rated one of the best albums of the year, they were featured as the musical guests for countless late night shows, and played shows across the states. Comprised of guitarist/vocalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney, The Black Keys were formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001. Since then, they have released five studio albums, with each one containing their distinguished lo-fi recording style, heavy blues rock influences, and psychedelic rock styling. All this adds up to create a truly unique sound, one the is instantly recognizable as The Black Keys. We hope you dig this week’s artist of the week, and stay tuned for some great jams.
