Dirty Projectors – May 16, 2011

This week we’re featuring Brooklyn-based indie rockers Dirty Projectors as our artist of the week. To date, the Projectors have released 7 full  length studio albums. The band was formed back in 2002, and is led by front man and songwriter Dave Longstreth. What makes this band so unique is the harmonies and melodies created between Longstreth and vocalist/multi instrumentalist Amber Coffman. This duo makes produces some great sounds together. Stylistically, this band fits into a sort of indie-pop genre with tracks ranging from experimental to arranged orchestrations. We hope you enjoy hearing the Dirty Projectors this week on the blog!

Today’s track is one of my personal favorites, and a great way to kick off this week. Enjoy “Cannibal Resource”

Here’s kind of a crazy, random song called “Temecula Sunrise.”

Perhaps their biggest hit. Enjoy this catchy song, “Stillness is the Move.”
