Happy Super Sunday everyone, first off can I just say that that was one of the most entertaining matches I’ve seen in a while (except the 5-3 Arsenal win at The Bridge of course). Sports, as entertaining as they are, are not the topic of this blog. Today I present to you a track by the French Electronic Duo Air, whose name is derived the Backronym Amour, Imagination, Rêve (Love, Imagine, Dream). Anyway, “Surfing on a Rocket” is a rather chill electronic song similar to Phantogram. This particular track is off of the album Talkie Walkie, which dropped way back in 2004. They formed way back in 1995 and were included in the electronic surge of the late 90’s and have produced 7 albums, of which the 7th, La Voyage Dans la Lune (A Trip to the Moon) is set to release tomorrow (February 6th 2012). Anyway, show these guys some love, and as always: listen, rate, and subscribe.
Surfing on a Rocket” by Air
Hello everyone, it’s with much personal pleasure that I bring this song onto the blog. These guys are from Leicestershire, UK (which seems to be becoming a theme with my posts of late) and have been around for almost 15 years. For anyone who is as addicted to watching the EPL every weekend, they’ll know this song by heart as it’s played behind highlights at half-time. I had been listening to this song for years before I even looked up what it was. I will say that after listening to this song behind the cheers and shouts from the crowds at The Emirates, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, etc. , this song isn’t quite as good without said cheers. It still holds up though. This particular track, “Fire” was released as part of their album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, which dropped way back in June of 2009. I urge you guys to check these guys out as their one of my favorites at the moment.
